WOW, what a night. September 30th, you would have witnessed a night of tears, laughter, loving and new experiences. People can reach dreams, how? It all begins with three tools. Tool #1: TO STAY POSITIVE, YOU MUST START POSITIVE. This includes all aspects of life, from starting a fresh fantastic morning, to starting a new experience or project. Do you wake up with an alarm clock, pushing that snooze button once or twice. What does that tell your mind, "I'm wanting to sleep rather then enjoy what the day will bring". Imagine waking to the inspirational message from your favourite author. Now you can believe that the day is one of wonderful moments. How do you start a project positive, start by stating what will be different then the times you have tried before. Do something different, such as follow a new plan, invite new people as supports, or take the past attempts and decide to toss them into the garbage in order to rid yourself of the negativity that comes with them. Tool #2 DON'T LET LIFE GET IN THE WAY, LIVE LIFE AS THE WAY. How many times have you begun a project and then life interferes. There you are already and pumped to start a diet, and then a few days into it, you are invited to dinner where they serve pasta, bread and dessert. Life, the way you live it gets in the way. Imagine deciding that life is life; you will enjoy, live it and face the directions it takes you. Anyone surviving tradegy knows this concept. The choice is to live, no matter what life throws in your direction. Tool #3 LEARN FROM THEIR DREAMS, BUT LIVE and LOVE YOUR DREAMS. How many times have you found yourself on the couch watching someone else living the life you want to live. Do you watch sports, or American Idol for example. Do you have a dream of playing that sport, or of becoming a famous entertainer? Stars, are just people who took the risk and live their dream. Learn from the hero's in your life, as you do take action on how to reach your own dreams.

The Dream Project - why?

Hello,
Here I am answering the question "why the dream project Sarah" once again. For those that don't know, the dream project is an opportunity for individuals to discover themselves and learn the tools that will take them from the life they live to the life they want to live. It was 3 years ago I was sitting in my office, working on another idea which would help individuals with a mental illness get from where they were at (which was not in a great place) to where they would like to go. I was excited and energized that I could speak for success and share the stories of lives of the people I had met and education which would end stigma to mental illness. Without fail, my ideas were turned down in the organization once again.
That was the last time I sat at my desk and dreamed of creating a world of acceptance and understanding of mental health and how mental health plays a part of everything we do in life. I decided to walk away and live the life I dreamed.
That was the beginning of Spoken Advantage and Mental Health Solutions 2 creations that I call my home. Spoken Advantage coaches people in speaking for success and Mental Health Solutions builds education around mental health in the workplace and beyond.
The next step, take mental health and speaking; building a place for all individuals to live their dream life and document the incredible stories that are built from the experience. Here lies the birth of The Dream Project.
My dream is that on September 30th, in London, Ontario and beyond hundreds of people will see the opportunities that this world brings them and how to use these to live their dream life. My dream is that I can continue doing what I love and be able to live doing this for years to come. My dream is to continue my happiness, and share this with my family, friends and new friends I have yet to meet.
My sharing with you today is to think about your dreams, who did you picture when you were a little girl, or boy? Are you living those dreams? Are you investing in you, or the life that gets in the way? Hear more of "The Life That Gets in the Way" in my next blog.

Why? Why try something new? Because if you don't you may not make the connections in life that will lead you to personal and professional success. I have avoided this "blogging" thing for far to long. I feared starting something that I could not make a 100% commitment too. I'm focussed on making a difference by taking action and following up. Doesn't this computer thing take time? Well, thanks to the individuals in the Dream Project, I have my answer. Yes, it takes time, yes it involves taking risks and putting yourself out there. But most importantly it allows you to take your passion to assist others outside of little london, ontario where I have kept it for 3 years. World, I am on a mission, with a vision to assist you in living your dream life. How? By sharing my story with you, and by encouraging you to do the same.
Hey this is fun. I'm hooked.
Thanks to The Dream Project, thanks to friends and thanks to you for listening to my story.
