Hello,
Here I am answering the question "why the dream project Sarah" once again. For those that don't know, the dream project is an opportunity for individuals to discover themselves and learn the tools that will take them from the life they live to the life they want to live. It was 3 years ago I was sitting in my office, working on another idea which would help individuals with a mental illness get from where they were at (which was not in a great place) to where they would like to go. I was excited and energized that I could speak for success and share the stories of lives of the people I had met and education which would end stigma to mental illness. Without fail, my ideas were turned down in the organization once again.
That was the last time I sat at my desk and dreamed of creating a world of acceptance and understanding of mental health and how mental health plays a part of everything we do in life. I decided to walk away and live the life I dreamed.
That was the beginning of Spoken Advantage and Mental Health Solutions 2 creations that I call my home. Spoken Advantage coaches people in speaking for success and Mental Health Solutions builds education around mental health in the workplace and beyond.
The next step, take mental health and speaking; building a place for all individuals to live their dream life and document the incredible stories that are built from the experience. Here lies the birth of The Dream Project.
My dream is that on September 30th, in London, Ontario and beyond hundreds of people will see the opportunities that this world brings them and how to use these to live their dream life. My dream is that I can continue doing what I love and be able to live doing this for years to come. My dream is to continue my happiness, and share this with my family, friends and new friends I have yet to meet.
My sharing with you today is to think about your dreams, who did you picture when you were a little girl, or boy? Are you living those dreams? Are you investing in you, or the life that gets in the way? Hear more of "The Life That Gets in the Way" in my next blog.
Live, Laugh and Love
Speaking for success with
